"Show Your Badge" Program Boosts Local Business During San Francisco International Gift Fair
ATLANTA, GA (January 4, 2010) - With the current economic situation, many are "looking local" to make the most of a challenging time. From February 6-9, 2010, the San Francisco International Gift Fair® is partnering with the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau (SFCVB) and local businesses to inform consumers about the wide variety of products and services available in San Francisco and promote the many benefits of spending money in the local economy whenever possible.
As part of the "Show Your Badge" Program, Gift Fair attendees and exhibitors will benefit from significant discounts at area businesses, hotels, restaurants and bars just by showing their Gift Fair badge. A list of Bureau members participating in the program is available online at http://www.welcometosf.com/showbadge/badge_offers.asp?cat_id=1. Additional participants will be added up until the Gift Fair's opening, with a complete list available onsite at the Gift Fair.
"The San Francisco International Gift Fair has continually demonstrated a positive impact in the local marketplace," said Doug Miller, president, Urban Expositions. "With the 'Show Your Badge' partnership, exhibitors and attendees alike are given the opportunity to actively contribute to the San Francisco economy. We are thrilled to be able to make a difference in our host city, and we encourage Gift Fair attendees and exhibitors to explore all that San Francisco has to offer."
"I encourage everyone to take advantage of the many value-added offers from our member restaurants, hotels, retailers, and attractions," said Kathryn Horton, Senior Director, Convention Events & Services, San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau. "I also encourage attendees to visit our website, www.onlyinsanfrancisco.com, which provides a vast array of options of what to see and do while in San Francisco."
Already known as a style-setting marketplace where some of the hottest design trends and movements start and evolve, the San Francisco International Gift Fair is now owned and managed by Urban Expositions. Returning this winter to the Moscone Center with even more resources and up-and-coming product lines, the Fair will also boast a full roster of buyer services that promise to take retailers' bottom line in a new direction. The event attracts over 11,000 retailers and features more than 600 exhibitors representing over 3,000 plus top name manufacturers and innovative newcomers.
