June Visiting Teaching

Another month has flown by! I can't believe it is already for the next month's message. Well...(drum roll please)... here it is!

The message this month (from the June Ensign) is titled, "Participate in Sincere Prayer." We love the phrase, "Prayer Changes Things" so that is the tag we decided to go with. Because there are no hole punches or other text on the tag, it can be easily taken off and tucked away in your scriptures or put on the fridge or mirror for a daily reminder.

The message is printed on the back, folded, and a package of Twizzlers is tucked inside a cute little pocket. We hope you enjoy and pass along this great message.

Not your ordinary lanyard

What teacher wouldn't love a lanyard like this to wear their name/id badge on?  This fun idea comes from Cute2Carry click here for the tutorial.

Personalized Notepads for dads, teachers, etc.

Found this SIMPLE & EASY gift idea on Family Fun.  I thought it would also be fun to do something similar for teachers and let your child draw a pic of their teacher at the top and then write or type under it "from the desk of Mrs. Brown".

DAD'S PADS

Memo pads adorned with your child's original artwork make a noteworthy Father's Day gift. Simply have your kids decorate the top of a piece of paper and take it to a copy shop or printer to be made into notepads. Pads start at 50 cents each, depending on the paper size and your printer.

Fathers Day Book

I saw this creative gift idea for Father's Day on Stacy Julian's blog and LOVED it! I'm pretty sure this is what I'll be making for the hubs and maybe even a different version for the grandpas this year. Thanks Stacy!

Teacher Stitching

This adoreable idea comes from Anne, her sister-in-law Dianna (who is a teacher and said she would LOVE something like this) submitted it.

She created it using a picture her daughter drew of her teacher and then she stitched it.  Such a fun idea!

Teacher Gift-Framed Crayon Letters

This cute idea and pics come from Hilary Shirley, and she found it via the Tip Junkie.

I bought an 8x 10 shadow box... printed the first letter of the teacher's last name really light in a plain font (I used Century Gothic) and the teacher's name on the side or bottom using a font called Pea Heather's Handwriting. I printed it on cardstock, cut crayons to size with a sharp paring knife and glued on with Elmer's glue. Crayons leave little flakey bits of color, so be careful not to smear your 'masterpiece.' I printed a sample on paper to hold my crayons up to to size them and a cutting board for cutting the crayons on. The cardstock does warp a bit, but it isn't noticeable in the shadow box.

The Steiff Teddy Bear Story By Sharon Lauer

In 1847 in a small town in Giengen, Germany a baby girl was born. She was named Margaret Steiff. Her childhood vigor was cut short when she contracted polio at the age of 2. Although confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life, she became a model for strength and determination.

Margaret excelled in sewing and needlework and became the proud owner of the first sewing machine in Geingen. In 1879, she started her dressmaking business. Her dresses, coats and other clothing products were quickly in demand. In December of that year she came across a pattern for a toy elephant in a magazine. She made these as gifts for her family and close friends. Margaret used her expertise to develop other animal patterns and 1883 added them to her price list as a range of felt items. Her business continued to grow and in 1892 she began making soft filled bears, which would later be referred to as Teddy Bears. These bears resembled real bears, posing on all four paws with humped backs.

Richard Steiff, Margaret's nephew, helped his aunt with design and production of her teddy bears and soft filled animals. An avid art student, he was a regular visitor of the Stuttgart Zoo where he got ideas for animal designs. While touring America, Richard was inspired for a new design during a circus performance. The dancing bears gave him the idea of designing a toy bear which stood upright and was jointed, similar to how dolls were made.

By 1902 the inspiration was reality and Margaret was producing a jointed soft filled teddy bear with mohair plush fur and glass eyes. They were the first jointed teddy bears produced.

In 1903 Richard displayed the new bears at the Leipzig Toy Fair. Unfortunately they didn't generate much interest in the Europeans. As Richard was packing up his display at the end of the fair, American Hermann Berg chanced by his booth. Berg was a buyer for the New York firm Geo Borgfeldt and Company. At about this time in America the story of Theodore Roosevelt's 'Teddy's Bear' was becoming popular. Berg placed an order for 3,000 bears.

By 1904 the Steiff teddy bear had become an American success. They were awarded various accolades including the prestigious Grand Prix award. In total 12,000 bears were sold by the end of 1904 with the trademark button in the left ear.

Publicity from Roosevelt's adventure helped place teddy bears in the hearts of Americans where they remain today. The world record price for an antique bear was made at a December 1994 auction. The winning bid was $176,000.00 for a 1905 Steiff bear. Steiff teddy bears continue to leave their marks today in the hearts of collectors and teddy bear lovers alike.

Holidays....No?

First things first
Exams. Thank God. It's finally OVER
Been studying last-minute *lala, the usual me*
oh well, I did try my best ya know?
and my parents always say
" as long you tried your best, and that's enough "
But I got this feeling when the results come out
it will be another matter =(

Moving on..

Immature Idiots =)

I lurve using these two words these days
*thanks for being there when I broke down*

VIRGO WOMAN *thats me!*
She will be similar to Leo woman in appearance. A slim woman who walks with confident and proud. She has an egg shape facial structure, high and round forehead.*oh really..* She likes to look straight as if she is searching. She is not a pretentious type and will always say what she thinks. *i wish xD*

You will see Virgo woman walks fast. She will try her best to be perfect, to look perfect and to feel perfect even though there is no such perfection. She is very delicate of what and how she dress. She is bright and easily despair with obstacles. She likes smart guy who will be compatible with her, so if you are a rich dumb guy, you can forget about her right now. *so frigging true!*

She is not a very possessive or jealous person for she expect respect from her love one. *respect is what I need alright* She does not like a part time lover, or a temporary mate. If she finds her dream man, she will not go away. *exactly* If she does not like you, she will always keep a certain distant. Act proper and appropriate is her discipline.

She does not like and can not stand bad languages, cursing words or phrase. She likes a gentleman who open the doors for her. *who wouldn't?* She wants to feel protected and when a man taking care of her, she will feel like a complete woman.

She memorizes everything about other people and about herself very well. She can really keep secret, you can trust her on this. She likes a refreshing and a mild scent. She is very delicate in maintaining her beauty, so you could see she is seriously picking soap which match and most suit her skin. *I'm picky =) * Do not comments her on this very picky habits, it is her happiness in working full times as a self beautifier.

She is not an innocent angle for sometimes she can be as tough as steel. Even she easily despair, she is not the type to cry over it. She is a shy type, so making speech in front of the room can make her nervous even she walks and talks confidently. *agree*

She only search for true love , not just any love. Her love is an ideal one. She likes to think no one is neater and as effective as her, which can irritate you sometimes for there is no such thing. She likes sweet talk, but she can slip and say something unpredictable and unbearable to you too. *sweet talk can't be trust all times. And yes when am mad, I'll say stuff that I don't mean it at all.* When she stops getting mad, she will totally forget what she just said and be an angle again. If you have a date with her, you'd better be there on time.

Flowers and sweet word can calm her down. If you want to say sorry, make it brief and straight forward. Do not drag your apologetic words into a long making it up events, it could lead you to another world war. She likes her man to dress nice and clean. She is good in details especially with money. Do not make she thinks that she is a clown or funny. *agreeable*

In the beginning of knowing her, please try not to glance at other pretty woman so much. Early period of dating her, try not to hold her so much in public, it would not be a proper thing to do. She loves books, stage play and music and likes to criticize about them too. *love em'*

Criticism woman is her icon including big and small things in life starting from your hair, your dress , and the way you talk. If you are in love with her, be as almost perfect as you can. *hear that? xD*

BREAKOUT is AWESOME!!
I laughed throughout the Extreme breakdance comedy
and I'm not the only one who's laughing their heads off =)

P.S I love you all still =)

P.P.S Holidays is such a tight schedule for me. Will be at KL first then Johor. Might be going Genting too!! Wooot!! =D

P.P.P.S Which reminds me, I'm gona miss you so much =(

Great Baby Gift Ideas

>A few guests can get together and get a big laundry basket. Place in it a long clothes line with outfits, diapers, bibs, etc. pinned to it. It can also be used as a room decoration. It has a bit of everything and something to carry it in!

Baby Quilt - here's a great gift from those that love to sew and quilt. Find an alphabet quilt pattern. Each square has a letter of the alphabet on it and a picture of an object that started with that letter. It can have numbers too. Each guest can be given/sent a square before the shower and can embroider, quilt, or embellish it according to her own taste. If the quilt is meant to be a wall hanging, guests can also attach little items like rattles and toys. Be sure that everyone signs their own block in some way and have the blocks returned by a certain date in order to have it put together. This can also be used as a decoration at the shower.

Make a scrapbook album. Take blank scrapbook pages and have everyone write down their well wishes (without Mom knowing it) for the new baby. This can be done at or before the shower and can be given at the shower or to Mom while she is in the hospital. If given after the shower, it can include photos taken there.

Pass out sheets of heavy paper decorated with baby related stamps, stickers, or pictures several lines drawn on. Have the guests write their name on the paper and then write down some baby/parenting advice. Once everyone is finished, collect them, add a cover, punch holes in it, and tie it together with some ribbon. Then hand it to Mom to read aloud. This will be entertaining as well as touching and is a nice keepsake. There is tons of room for creativity on this one.

Have each guest bring an extra gift (small item recommended) for Daddy-to-be and the host of the shower will then place them in large gift bag to present to him at the close of the party (usually after the main gifts are opened). He opens this with Mommy-to-be at home or in presence of close family or friends.

Diaper Shower – For a second (or more) baby, consider a diaper shower. Ask each guest to bring only a package of diapers as a gift. Some guests may bring other gifts also, but Mom will end up with a mountain of diapers … something she'll really need! Items could also include anything associated with diapering such as wipes, ointment, powder, etc.

Casserole Shower – For the mother who has everything already, how about a Casserole Shower? Have each guest bring a casserole or other ready-to-cook meal that can be frozen or stored until after the baby is born. Be sure to have the containers clearly labeled with contents and any cooking instructions. How helpful that will be when Mom and Baby come home!

Book Party – Have each guest purchase and give a copy of their favorite childhood book.

Touchy Touchy

*shudders*

What do you do when someone you love,
is gone...forever?

I only wish I know the answer...
SIGHS LOUDLY

suicide is stupid
read it, remember it

Sometimes you just feel like crying when no one knows how you felt
Sometimes you just feel like screaming in rage at thoughtless people
Sometimes you just feel like hugging someone so tight and never let them go
Yet sometimes you just can't stop thinking
"What's wrong with me?"

ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME MAD?!
ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME CRY?!
OR ARE YOU JUST SICK OF ME?!

go get a life
so-called-best-friend
*pffft*

I wasted my whole day crying cause of YOU

P.S despite how i feel right now, I still don't think suicide is a good idea. NOT

P.P.S sorry about my ranting. It's about someone who's like my best friend. In reality? No.

From: Darkling Lovecraft aka Suezie
