Moderately priced, transitional-style furniture

Habersham unveiled the newest additions to its American Treasures collection of copyrighted designs at this month's High Point Market. Offering a distinctly different look from the high-end company’s well-established, richly detailed furniture offerings, pieces in this new collection feature clean, simple design lines and transitional styling at moderate price points.

"With American Treasures, our design team has paid tribute to the American-made styles and influences that helped shape our company by reinterpreting them to create wonderful transitional designs,” says Habersham president Matt Eddy.

He said the simpler styles and finishes in the American Treasures collection, combined with recent factory innovations and improvements, have allowed the company "to offer the new hand-styled pieces at moderate price points -- without sacrificing the quality and handwork that are the company’s hallmarks."

Classic plastic boxes in 5 new colors

AMAC has been producing the classic M Series boxes since 1960. This year, the company exhibited at the Housewares Show for the first time. It introduced five new colors: Ember, Olive, Pink, Slate and Marine. They will only be available packaged in retail friendly "Consumer Packs." The smallest three sizes are wrapped in sets of three, the two medium sizes are packed in sets of two and the four largest sizes are wrapped singly. Together, this colorful collection of jewel tone boxes adds a splash of color to any retail environment.

Company founder Gene Hurwitt designed the boxes in 1960 in the bohemian enclave of Sausalito, Calif. AMAC boxes joined the permanent collection of New York's MoMA in 1966.

Under-bed storage products

Evriholder Products’ patented Rise ‘N Stor bed risers are said to be “the perfect solution” for cramped dorm rooms and living quarters. Color me Impressed+Update+Techinques

To add another tip for painting brushes can be very expensive, and your painting is only as good as your brushes are, that being said how do you take care of you brushes I mean cleaning and storing them. Ok my brushes here are well used, it's time to down grade and get new ones the handles on these leave a lot to be desired. Am I right. My brushes have to many hours of use to count. Even so I take very good care of the bristles, there is nothing that makes me more angry when painting than a bad brush :0(
I have 2 photos of my painting area on a project I was just finishing up.
You see my paint towel all covered in paint, my brushes a complete mess.
My brushes are soaking in a bowl of rubbing alcohol.
I use rubbing alcohol(in a glass bowl) to clean my brushes in between different colors of paint.
first rinse them in water, then the alcohol. When you are all finished painting like you see I finished the frog, rinse your brushes completely in water then clean them in the rubbing alcohol work them in a back and forth motion in the palm of your hand. Trying not to strain or mess up the bristles. then as you can see I store my in side a cup or jar bristles up obviously to keep the ends perfect.
